INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM／国際交流シンポジウム
The University of the Ryukyus had planned to host an international symposium as part of series of commemorative events to celebrate our journey and look to the future. Unfortunately, the global pandemic of COVID-19 precluded us from holding any in-person event on the island for two years.
For this reason, we changed our original plan and decided to host an international event in an alternative way, namely create a Commemorative Lecture Series to be hosted on the university website. As part of this series, we invited keynote speakers to contribute recorded videos of their addresses. In addition to the recorded lecture series, we held an online synchronous symposium, in which students, faculty and staff members, and citizens from the Okinawan community. Thank you for all your participation.
本学では、将来・未来を見据えへ、記念事業として国際シンポジウムを計画していましたが、世界的なコロナウィルス感染症拡大により、この2年間は残念ながら対面によるイベントを開催することが出来ませんでした。
そこで、当初の計画を変更し、レクチャーシリーズとしてオンラインでの開催をすることとなりました。
シリーズの一環として、海外の講演者による基調講演動画をオンラインで配信しています。
また、講演動画に加え、オンラインによるシンポジウムも開催し、学生、教職員並びに県内の一般の方々もご参加くださいました。ありがとうございました。
