Announcement about COVID-19 vaccination at the University (notice)

To Students, Faculty and Staff Members:

We would like to announce you that the University will implement the following COVID-19 mass vaccination at the University in order to reduce the burden of the community for vaccination and speed up vaccination.
For the above purposes, vaccination will be implemented for those who wish to receive a vaccine among those who are eligible.
Please note that if you have an opportunity to get vaccines administered by the municipality in your area, you can get them in your area or at one of mass vaccination centers available.

〇 Vaccination at the University
1. Period:
[1st dose]  9:00~13:00, August 12 (Thu.) ~ August 20 (Fri.), 2021
[For a typhoon backup dates: August 26 (Thu.) & August 27 (Fri.)]

[2nd dose]  9:00~13:00, September 9 (Thu.) ~ September 17 (Fri.), 2021
[For a typhoon backup dates: September 21 (Tue.) & September 22 (Wed.) ]

※ Online vaccination appointment is required.  For scheduling vaccination appointment, please follow the attached sheet “Procedure for Appointment.”
※ It is necessary to get two doses of vaccine.
※During the vaccination periods, vaccination will be implemented everyday including Saturdays and Sundays.

2. Place: R’s Kitchen (North Cafeteria), Senbaru Campus

※ R's Kitchen (North Cafeteria) has changed its business schedule and will be closed after August 4 (Wed.) due to preparation and implementation of the COVID-19 mass vaccination.  The shop inside the cafeteria will be open during the vaccination periods.  For more information, please check the University of the Ryukyus Co-op website (https://kyushu.seikyou.ne.jp/ryudai-coop/index.html).

3. Eligibility: Those who wish to get vaccines among students, faculty and staff members (including part-time staff, entrusting parties, dispatched employees, etc.)
※ Students of neighboring universities (Okinawa International University, Okinawa Christian University, Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts) are included.
