The student event was held at the "The 7th Worldwide Uchinanchu Festival" in Okinawa from October 31st to November 3rd, 2022. GCC (Global Commons Concierge) students from the University of the Ryukyus held an event to interact with participants from all over the world. GCC is a student group that supports students who are interested in international exchange, including learning languages or study abroad. At the Uchinanchu Festival, we enjoyed chatting mainly in Japanese with participants from Hawaii, Guam, and South American countries, and enjoyed language exchange with participants in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. We also had a fun playing games such as quizzes about Okinawan culture and playing tongue twister games together.
