Chairman of aio Group (Hawaii) and certified NPO very 50 visited the University of the Ryukyus (May 9, 2022)

  Mr. Duane Kurisu, the chairman and CEO of aio group, and Mr. Ryosuke Sugaya, the CEO and founder of the certified NPO very50, visited the University of the Ryukyus and had a talk with President Nishida on the exchange between Hawaii and Okinawa. Vice President Inoue, Education and Student Services, Prof. Miyakuni, Asistant to the President in charge of public relations, and Prof. Ishihara, the Faculty of Global and Regional Studies, also attended the meeting. During the discussion, they exchanged opinions on the exchanges between Hawaii and the University of the Ryukyus, the common issues between the state of Hawaii and Okinawa prefecture, and the cooperation and exchange among the island regions. Based on the discussions, it was confirmed that they will work together to resolve common issues between Hawaii and Okinawa, and to promote educational and research exchanges.
