University of the Ryukyus
On July 31 (Fri.), it was confirmed that a member of the University was infected with COVID-19. The information confirmed and the measures taken by the University are as follows:
・Number of person(s) infected: One person
・Status: Student
・By investigating the movements of the infected person, it was confirmed that it was not necessary to close the campus or implement disinfection in the campus.
・The Public Health Center is now investigating about persons who may have had close contact.
Anybody could become one of the infected persons tomorrow. We would like to ask each one of you for your understanding and consideration for respect for human rights as well as protection of personal information for infected persons and their families.
To date, the University has been taking various measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection, in accordance with the government policies and so on. We would like to continue to make our efforts to prevent the spread of the infection in the University as well as local communities.
