Notice: Suspension of COVID-19 Report through Forms and Measures Toward Those Tested Positive

To Students, Faculty Staff and Members

Risk Management Headquarters (for COVID-19 Infection Control)

The mandatory report through Forms from those tested positive is suspended due to the new classification in the level of COVID-19.
The new measures toward those tested positive are changed to the following ones based on the rules and recommendation from Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare(MHLW).
Despite the new measures, please inform the University of the case in which more than 5 people tested positive at the same time and which may affect the administration of the University, with the detailed information: number of those tested positive, date, location, circumstances, main contact address.

Basic Flow (COVID-19 positive case)

Students who tested positive
1. must follow the University’s rule of absence period: 5 days and 1 day after temperature goes down.
2. must inform the faculty that you tested positive and follow the directions from the faculty.
3. consult either Okinawa Prefectural Call Center(098-866-2129) or Health
 Administration Center of the University of the Ryukyus(098-895-8144) in case they suffer COVID-19 for more than 5 days.

Faculty Staff and Members who tested positive
1. must refrain from going out for the period recommended by MHLW: 5 days and 1 day after temperature goes down.
2. must inform the head of the faculty that you tested positive.
 (University Hospital staff who tested positive must report through the Form for University Hospital staff.)
3. are regarded as on sick leave. University Hospital staff who tested positive are regarded as on special leave.*
 (Those who wish to be on paid vacation, are delt with on paid vacation.)
4. consult either Okinawa Prefectural Call Center(098-866-2129) or Health
 Administration Center of the University of the Ryukyus(098-895-8669) in case they suffer COVID-19 for more than 5 days.
