About the Okinawa Prefecture Emergency Joint Message

On August 1, the Okinawa Prefecture Emergency Joint Message was released in the joint names of the Okinawa Prefectural Government, municipalities, medical associations, business associations and etc. (the website address is shown below).

We request all the members of our university to take responsible actions in response to this message, as one of the citizens of the prefecture and as a member of the University of the Ryukyus.

In our university, the final examination period has just started and face-to-face examinations approved by the Deans have been carried out.  Please minimize the time of your stay on campus except examination time, and please do not gather with other students both on and off-campus.

Okinawa Prefecture Emergency Joint Message (excerpt)

To all citizens of the Prefecture

1. DO NOT go out for the next two weeks. 
    DO NOT get together outside or at home.
2. Refrain from going to and from other prefectures and remote islands, including returning to your hometown.
3. We strongly encourage you to get a COVID-19 vaccine which has been confirmed as being highly effective in preventing the spread of infectious diseases.
