As regards the infection of COVID-19 (No.6) in the University announced on September 30, it is confirmed that a member of the University who was waiting for the test result at the time of announcement was infected with COVID-19.
We would like to inform of current situations as follows:
・Number of person(s) infected: One person
(Total number of infected persons related to the announcement No.6: Four persons)
・Status: Student
・This case occurred within the same group who acted together.
・At this point, there is no members of the University other than this group who are recognized as “close contacts”.
・It is confirmed that the student concerned did not enter the university campus and it is not necessary to implement disinfection in any university facility.
・It is also confirmed that this case has no relation to the past infection cases occurred in the University.
We sincerely hope that these students will recover from illness as soon as possible.
Anybody could become one of the infected persons tomorrow. We would like to ask each one of you for your understanding and consideration for respect for human rights as well as protection of personal information for infected persons and their families.
To date, the University has been taking various measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection, in accordance with the government policies and so on. We would like to continue to make our efforts to prevent the spread of the infection in the University as well as in the local communities.
