As regards the infection of COVID-19 (No.2) in the University announced on August 2, we would like to inform of current situations as follows:
・The University implemented disinfection of the facilities according to the instructions of the Public Health Center.
・For university members who were considered as persons having close contact, we are now conducting PCR tests, etc. under the directions of the Public Health Center.
・For those who may had some contact with the infected person other than those regarded as “close contacts”, we are asking their cooperation for standing by at home.
・At this point, it is confirmed that the second case has no relation to the first case.
・At this point, no case of secondary infection connected to this case has been confirmed.
Anybody could become one of the infected persons tomorrow. We would like to ask each one of you for your understanding and consideration for respect for human rights as well as protection of personal information for infected persons and their families.
As regards measures by the University, the Risk Management Headquaters has established the guidelines for restrictions on activities and issued the campus advisories for COVID-19. Information about these guidelines and advisories has been disseminated to the university members through the websites and emails.
The University is going to take various measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection, in accordance with the government policies and so on, and make our efforts to prevent the spread of the infection in the University as well as local communities.
