Participation in a Study/Training Program at the University of Hawaii
From Sun., August 12, to Tues., August 28, 15 students from the Faculty of Tourism Sciences and Industrial Management participated in a study/training program at the University of Hawaii with three faculty advisers as their guides.
During the course of their over two-week schedule, students took five, one-hour lectures in English every day in areas such as Tourism Marketing, Tourism Economics, Tourism and Transportation, Resort Development, and Tourism Sociology, and then they absorbed other knowledge in order to contribute to Okinawan tourism and make Okinawa a more active tourism region. They also visited the Hawaii Convention Center and the Hawaii State Local Product Exhibition as field studies. Furthermore, they mixed with local students and people from the Okinawa Prefecture Association. They made their program a fruitful one.
