Lectures by Ambassador of Bangladesh and Economic Minister,
Embassy of Bangladesh in Japan


On December 5 (Thu.), the 67th University of the Ryukyus 21st Century Forum was held at the 50th Anniversary Memorial Hall. Two lectures were given by H. E. Mr. Masud Bin Momen, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Japan, and Dr. Jiban Ranjan Majumder, Economic Minister, Embassy of Bangladesh in Japan.

Prior to the forum, the representatives from the Embassy of Bangladesh paid a courtesy visit to President Iwamasa and engaged in discussions with regards to a variety of matters.

At the forum, H. E. Mr. Masud Bin Momen gave a lecture titled “Japan Bangladesh Relationship”, while Dr. Jiban Ranjan Majumder made a presentation titled “Socio-Economic Development of Bangladesh”. Many students as well as faculty members participated in the lectures. After the lectures, the Ambassador and the Economic Minister took many questions from the floor, and provided their detailed and informative insights.

Following the forum, an informal gathering was held in the exchange lounge, with many students from Bangladesh and their academic advisors participating in friendly discussions.
