
The Graduate School of Health Sciences (Master’s and
Doctoral Program) consists of two educational research
fields, Human Health Development and International
Island Health which conduct unique educational research
concerning the longevity on Okinawa and its health related
factors, and the development of health resources and
advanced healthcare technology. These programs have
cultivated leading researchers in the field of Health Sciences
who promote healthcare in this new era. Those who
complete the Master’s course are expected to work as highly
specialized professionals such as specialized nurse and
school nurses (specialized certificate). Those who complete
the Doctoral course are expected to work as researchers
and leaders in universities, hospitals, laboratories and
international organizations. The Graduate School of
Health Sciences holds the international conferences and
forums, provides lectures has mutually acceptable credits
and promotes the globalization of the graduate education
in co-operation with the member schools of Asia Pacific
Academic Consortium for Public Health (APACPH). From
2009 we accept a group of foreign students from JICA and
transfer healthcare technology, aiming to become the hub
of healthcare activities and educational research not only in
the Asia Pacific region but on a global scale as well.
